NEW MOTORING WEBSITE ESPECIALLY FOR WOMEN
June 3, 2007
A brand new motoring website, created by women for women, www.Cars4Women.co.za, went on line for the first time this week. It is designed to empower women in all things motoring - from buying to maintaining to selling cars.
Cars4Women's editor is Sasha Wyatt-Winter, an experienced journalist who will write articles about car buying, vehicle finance, insurance, warranties and on subjects such as how to fend off the 'breakdown vultures'.
New car reviews and commentary on new car launches are written by members of the SA Guild of Motoring Journalists, Heléne Griffiths, Peta Lee and Liana Reiners. New content is added to the site daily.
The website invites women from all walks of life to share their views and write about what they love and hate about their cars.
Cars4Women.co.za is the brainchild of Peter Mansfield, who also developed the very successful Health Spas Guide web site - www.HealthSpas.co.za.
It is envisaged that Cars4Women.co.za will empower women by assisting them to become more knowledgeable about cars and about what to do when things go wrong.
Users are invited to print out a car-buyer's check list to assist when car-shopping.
There are plans to establish a directory of women-friendly car dealers - dealers who employ salespeople who do not patronise women customers.
Cars4Women.co.za Editor Sasha Wyatt points out that it is very much in the interests of dealers to identify, train and reward such salespeople.
'In many markets women now buy more than 50% of cars and are said to influence choices in over 80% of cases. Car manufacturers and dealers who ignore this trend do so at their peril'.
